“As you are aware, my wife and I purchased an apartment from Which Property in Proximity One 18 months ago (off the plan). This property was intended for us to live in. At the time of selecting the property we only had one child and the 2 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family. The location of Proximity One - accessibility to public transport as I work in the CBD – played a major factor in the decision. For my wife, the position was also ideal as shopping centres, doctors, parks and the Brisbane River were all within a 5 minute walk.
During construction of our apartment, my wife fell pregnant again and much to our surprise we were expecting twins. This news was fantastic, although we had some challenges ahead of us as we were about to have 3 children under the age of 3. This also bought about the challenge of how our expanding family was going to fit into a 2 bedroom unit.
Upon completion of the development, we were pleasantly surprised to see the finished product. We had selected a ground floor unit for the extra space for our children in the courtyard and we found that the living area was actually larger then the house we had been living in - whilst we found it challenging fitting all five of us in two bedrooms, we discovered the living area was sufficient. Clever design and maximisation of space allowed us to live in Proximity One comfortably.
We are moving soon but we believe the property will make an excellent addition to our property portfolio and have decided to keep it as an investment property.
